I think that the Chicago Speech Contest is a corrupt and evil dictatorship out to rule the world and create conformist clones. Mostly because they didn't accept my speech. But they didn't accept my speech subbie year either, and although it was not a very exciting one, it was *mine*. Also, they apparently like only conformist bilingual speech topics, such as comparing cultures/countries/differences of stuff in general. And that was *so* last year, with the tape speech. Anyway, I don't understand what their problem is with the whole like, depressed teenager thing. Japan and America are full of them.
